With the development of modern computer technology and the widely application of Internet in many fields, the Data Acquisition System that takes Personal Computer as the platform has been becoming an important development direction in Current data acquisition technology. This thesis takes the advanced performance of Universal Serial Bus with high-speed transmission, Hot Plug In, Plug and Play, easy expansion, engrossing less system resources, and takes Field Programmable Gate Array chip, and designs a kind of high-speed remote data acquisition and monitoring system.Firstly, by means of introducing the disadvantages of the traditional data acquisition, this thesis adopts Field Programmable Gate Array as the main controller of peripherally circuit and uses the data transmission technology of Universal Serial Bus, then the design of data acquisition system based on USB2.0 bus is discussed in details in which it contains several parts: hardware design, firm design, driver design and application design. In the first part, power supply circuit,the design of the signal adjustment circuit, the A/D sample circuit and USB2.0 interface circuit is discussed. In terms of the firm design, the design of the A/D control circuit and the firmware of USB2.0 interface chip is discussed. In the part of driver design, the WDM(Windows Driver model) is firstly introduced and then the design of driver in this thesis is given. At last, with the help of Visual C++ IDE(Integrative Development Environment) and TCP/IP protocol, the application of Server and Client is created and it can transmit the acquisition data to long distance successfully. In the end, the whole system is tested and the function of the system is validated correctly.In the thesis, the data acquisition system that is base on USB2.0 is completed. Users from the client computer can send a command to the control system that is on the server computer by the way of network. And it can realize the remote data acquisition and reduce the application cost.
