Digital beamforming which is widely used in radar, sonar, communication and electronic countermeasures zone is a new constructed technology based on the antenna beamforming through introducing modern digital signal processing. The digital beamforming algorithms, digital beamforming tracking technology to the moving targets and the digital mutiple beamforming algorithms are studied farther. The main research contents and results are as follows:1. Several classical adaptive weight updating algorithms are analyzed. Two algorithms which can improve the robustness of these algorithms are shown based on the general beamform algorithms. The simulation results show the validity and efficiency.2. The gradient tracking algorithm based on MMSE is introduced. It updates the weights through the gradient operation to the outputs of the array. The weighted outputs of different systems are combined to acquire the most outputs which can capture and track both the azimuth and elevation angles of the target. The simulations show that this tracking algorithm can converge fast and steadily to achieve the effective searching and tracking of the moving target.3. A blind multibeam algorithm without being orthogonal is analyzed. Then the emulation results show that this algorithm can converge to multiple different signals, which solves the repeated convergence problem in the blind multibeam system. At last, we describe how to use blind adaptive algorithm on the problem of the moving target tracking.4. An improved mutibeam algorithm based on a line restrict mutibeam is proposed for improving its robustness. The simulation results show that this new algorithm accelerates the convergence speed and acquires the better performance with even less snapshots. It also has good performance when the channel errors and DOA estimation errors exists.
