The transmit/receive (T/R) modules play a key role in modern radar systems. It directly influences the performance of the whole radar. According to the requirements of the program, a transmitter and the corresponding Millimeter-wave local oscillator are designed in this paper. A millimeter-wave transmitter design scheme is put forth. The development work includes a up converter module, a driver amplifier module, a power amplifier module and 24-time frequency multiplier.Chapter 1 is a survey of the whole dissertation. First, the characteristics of millimeter wave is briefly introduced. Then the domestic and abroad development of the related modules is introduced and summarized. Finally, the objectives and significance of this thesis, item index and main work are also briefly introduced.Chapter 2 briefly discusses the ways to realize the system target, the key techniques and corresponding solutions.Chapter 3 introduces the design of multiplier. which includes two narrow-band filters ,one passive frequency tripler, the selection of relative MMIC and the manufacture of multiplier module.Chapter 4 briefly introduces the design of power divider, including theoretical analysis and the computer simulation designChapter 5 is the core of the dissertation. First the main indexes of transmitter are introduced, then the concrete designs about up converter, driver amplifier and power amplifier are expounded.Chapter 6 introduces the tests and the debugging of the relative system modules, including multiplier module, power dividing-combining structure and the whole concatenated transmit modules.Chapter 7 is the conclusion of the paper. summarizing the whole design of this program.In this paper, the function modules of the millimeter-wave transmitting front-end are successfully achieved by the technique of hybrid integrated circuit. Through measurement, the technical indexes finally completely reach the requirements of design.
