With the fast development of internet/intranet and maturity of database technology building digital library has become an immediate demand for universities and colleges. Disk resource is an important data source of library. Disks that are attached with books are most common with a big percentage in its kind. Traditional manual management is not able to meet the development of contemporary libraries as current library management software does not provide such functions of managing these disks. The new situation has raised a research topic for administrators to optimize the usage and function of attached disks.Researcher in accordance with the actual work, made reference to the current developments and management model in the library, with the existing library management software, designed and implemented the attached disk management system.The first, researcher introduced the system needed to technologies and solutions, and then the need of the system was analyzed carefully, based on demand management system was designed four functional modules consist management, the readers, Web, production staff. System uses the C/S (client/server), and the B/S (browser/server) integration framework, of which a large quantity of data transmission by C/S to achieve, the remainder is with B/S to achieve, including such as image file upload, add, modify and delete information, user management.Attached disk management system has combined the current library management software which can easily managing disk data as well as facilitating users enquiry and use which has great significance for the demand of academy and research and improving library's automatic, informative and web status.
