WDM transmission system is the expansion of Route optical communication system and the principal means of metro core network's multi-service delivery platform, and is regarded as one of the main direction of development in the next generation high-speed wide-area backbone network. The use of WDM technology wavelength-routed optical networks in all links must be allocated on wavelength with the same frequency, such restrictions as a continuous wavelength limit. This requirement of wavelength continuity increases the probability of call blocking than traditional circuit-switched networks. And wavelength conversion technology makes the network nodes will be able to data from one wavelength to another channel wavelength channel transmission, and this way undermine the continuity constraints, can reduce the probability of call blocking of the networks.WDM network in the business request for the establishment of an end-to-end optical access, and to allocate a suitable wavelength such issues as routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) issue. In the optical network planning and optimization process in conjunction with the survival of the RWA algorithm is designed optical network planning and optimization of the core. This paper studies the optical network planning system in the design of routing and wavelength assignment.Conjunction with the project of WDM optical network planning and optimization software system, the author described the software architecture design, system processes and systems used in the process of key technologies,focus on the software business in the distribution system and protection module design and implementation of the program. The design considered the network of nodes in the wavelength conversion capabilities, the different business strategies to protect access and the protection of the resource-sharing issue. Finally in accordance with the demands of the engineering, implement the function of distribution business and the protection in the Wavelength Routing Network.The article went on the dynamic circumstances WDM optical network routing and wavelength assignment conducted in-depth studies, summarized in the RWA predecessors on the issue of relevant studies, put forward the innovative SP-LG algorithm and SPMF algorithm in the sparse-partial wavelength conversion conditions. SP-LG algorithm based on the hierarchical graph model in the network of smaller parallel circumstances to resolve some of wavelength conversion network routing and wavelength assignment issue. The simulation results show that the algorithm does not increase in the rate of network congestion situation to improve the efficiency of the algorithm. The path of election issues identified in a number of backup routing, and in accordance with the order of a certain sort. SPMF algorithm wavelength assignment program through the matrix calculation got all available wavelengths collection and select the number of conversions at least one set as the wavelength assignment of the results. Finally, simulation tests verified the performance of the algorithm.
