Nowadays, the basic character of the development of economic society are inter-enterprises cooperation and enterprise integration. The interoperation of enterprise model is the first step of enterprise integration. At present, enterprise modeling methodology has some disadvantages such as strong rigidity, lacking compatibility and deficient adaptability etc. The interoperation of enterprise model can provide an approach to solve these problems.Meta modeling methodology is a systematization methodology for modeling. Meta model is the abstract on the top of the system. Meta modeling methodology is an effective approach to integrate systems. The research focuses on the interoperation of enterprise model by meta modeling methodology. The paper designs a meta-model and some basic classes.It is analyzed of the background and meaning of the research. Firstly, the paper introduces the research actuality in related research fields. Secondly, it summarizes Model Driven Architecture (MDA) from three aspects: basic conception, model architecture and core technology. Then, it gives more study on the basal platform developing tools which bases on MDA—Justep X3 from principle, methods and developing architecture of information system. At last, it summarizes Meta modeling methodology.It is analyzed of the traditional enterprise reference architecture, advances new requirements on enterprise modeling in the environment of enterprises cooperation. It establishes Interoperation Oriented Enterprise Modeling Architecture(IO-EMA) which has six-dimension, and compares with traditional reference architecture, Modeling Methodologies Dimension, Enterprise Engineering Supporting Subassembly Dimension and Industry Reuse Management Dimension are special in this architecture. Then, it depicts the function of the six dimensions.On the basis of the third chapter, it designs the enterprise core meta-model and basic classes. It depicts the function of every basic class, and establishes meta-model management mechanism which based on edition management technology. Then, it researches on the views consistency in multi-views modeling, and puts forward three measures on the views consistency.It is analyzed of model transformation between IO-EMA models and UML models which bases on XML Firstly, it carves up the core elements of IO-EMA models. Secondly, it establishes three-level mapping architecture, and discusses the mapping of the models level. Thirdly, it establishes formal definition of the mapping rules and gives the expression of the mapping rules.Finally, it gives an example of systems integration in a manufacturing enterprise. The integration is between an on-line purchasing EC system and an ERP system. Firstly, it designs the meta-model and its relevant E-R model. Secondly, it designs the architecture of functional integration model and analyzes the planning & purchasing process of this enterprise. Thirdly, it designs the basic architecture of the conceptual model.
