Based On The Image Of The Ship Target Detection

Image processing has extensive commercial prospect in many fields. The processing of image in complex background often becomes the problems in them and obstructs applying image processing in more fields. However, because of it's good application prospect, the processing of complex image has become a hotspot in present research work.Considering the characteristics of ship's image and moving ship target, this paper designed and realized an automatic detection system for ship target. The main task included ship target characteristics analysis, image preprocess, target detection algorithm research, target segmentation algorithm research, construction of a practical ship detecting system and several other aspects.The paper has studied and analyzed the ship target on water surface detailedly.In view of the ship is the man-made target, and the hull is covered with edges and corners, moreover, characteristics of the image is that a lot of long straight edge exist. So the paper propose a detection method by using the corner and line characteristics, and realize a new segmentation method which is based on the relation stable-state in accordance with the different reflection between the ship and the water surface. Finally, we design and realize a experimental system of ship detection, and obtain good detection efficiency by using the above method.
