This thesis designs a subharmonic mixer with RF 10.56GHz and LO 5.25GHz,which adopts the integrated design by converting waveguide into microstrip and leaves out RF filter. The subharmonic mixer is smaller and there is an improvement in the loss of RF. At the same time, IF Lowpass filter, LO Bandpass filter and the matching of the different ports impedances and network are fully considered. Thus, the design has the following characteristics: low noise and less than 9dB conversion loss, which achieves the goal of the design. Finally, the thesis analyses the result of experimentation and then puts forward some steps to improve the design.Due to the usage of Microwave IC, the microstrip subharmonic mixer has many strongpoints such as lower cost of production, higher capability and adapting to mass production. As the most significant part of receiver system, mixer plays an important role in improving the performance of entire system. Thereby this task can be used in both military affairs and civilian affairs.
