The popularity of the Internet promotes the develop of network video business.But the limit of computer hardware and network becomes the bottleneck of network video business. The technology of peer-to-peer network with network video business is a new way to solve the biggest problem for network video business.The system of video live and vod with peer-to-peer selects the new solution of video business.It solves the limits of bandwidth and resource in transmits of video .And it changes the old solution by blinding expanded hardware investment totally. It changes the network transmission mode fundamentally ,then it quickens the network transmission speed greatly.This paper introduces peer-to-peer network basic concept, technological realization and main applications, then analyzes the differences between peer-to-peer technology and C/S mode internet; and introduces the classification of peer-to-peer networks, some peer-to-peer protocols and software. After comparing the advantages and disadvantages of four peer-to-peer network topology, it is a discussion about hybrid structure.It states the algorithm about peer which could select,join or leave network. Meanwhile,it introduces the technology of stream media and video compression or decoding.Also it mentions the operation system of Linux and Jxta language which have provided the rationale and support.In this paper,by Jxta language,it structs peer-to-peer network group and uses post to cummunite each other.Finally,it sends and receives the data through the pipe between peers.It develops algorithm and improve the hybrid structure which has already built.Generally,it guarantees the network the stability .The data of video connects with peer-to-peer network by interfaces.The system is developed under VC plat.
