Night vision system is necessary equipment in the study of increasing the detecting distance in the night or low illumination in order to realize concealed detecting. In these years, with the continue development of night vision system, especially the transform from the look in eyes system to night TV, the night vision system makes a big use in all fields of our life, include the national defense, military affairs, traffic and so on.The night vision system includes the infrared thermal imaging system, LLL night vision system and the image fusion system.In chapter 1, the development history of the night vision system, and the important application in normal military affairs. Then, research background and importance of this dissertation are explained.In chapter 2, it is discussed the method used to estimate the infrared images and the fusion images, designed an estimate system under the environment of VC.In chapter 3, the paper analyzes the theory of the infrared images and the LLL night images, points out the relative merits of these images. Explain the necessity of the image fusion based on these two kinds of images, and an analysis on the characteristic of the fusion images.The qualities of the images are not always good because of the limitation of the detector and the outside disturb. So in chapter 4, the factors that affect the quality of images are analyzed, and presented the characteristics of the image yawp. This chapter points out some common methods of imaging processing, and a few improved methods, study the shortage of the ways. At last, an adaptive method is advanced, simulated in the computer.In chapter 5, it is studied the distance detecting equation of the LLL night image, indicated a new way to increase the detecting distance, proved its feasibility by theory and experiment.In chapter 6, the whole work is summarized and the further development is pointed out too.
