The thermal photovoltaic system is composed by the thermal radiator, the optical filter,the thermophotovoltaic(TPV) cell, the heat recovery and the secondary components. Thispart studies the optical filter, the optical filter also called spectrum controller, is used toachieve the optical match between the thermal radiation and the TPV, the major role isabsorpting the required infrared light and reflecting the infrared light that the TPV can notconvert to electric to the thermal radiation for reusing. The optical Filter impacts theconversion efficiency of the thermal photovoltaic systems, so the research on the chooseproperties appears to be particularly important.This article establishes the initial structural of the optical filter. And comparing thevarious design software, choicing the suitable design software. After choosen the TFCALCdesign software, designing and optimizing based on the features, the functions and theautomatic design principle, then doing much optimization, you can get a optimal result,basicly achieving the designing goal. Finally, referencing to the existing coatingtechnology, researching the impaction of the plating system parameters and the coatingprocess automation, preparing for the next stage of coating work.
