IRFPA is widely used in infrared imaging technology, but the nonuniformity fromIRFPA greatly limits the infrared image quality, So, real-time nonuniformity correction isone of the key technologies in the application of IRFPA.In this paper, the characteristics of infrared images is analyzed, the causes andfeatures of nonuniformity in infrared systems are studied, and after a lot of experiments,the nonlinear response curve of the detector is presented; Based on the analysis of ordinarynonuniformity correction algorithms and the existing problems, an algorithm of two-pointcompress correction for IRFPA with nonlinear response is proposed; Based on thesimulation and experiments, the algorithm is optimized and implemented by hardwarecircuit.Compared with traditional correction methods, the two-point compress correctionwith nonlinear algorithm is the fittest to real-time image processing. It has advantages bothfrom two-point correction and from many-point correction, because it has high precision,less calculation, fast processing speed, and easy to realize in real time. The results ofreal-time implement by hardware circuit are satisfactory.In a word, the two-point compress correction with nonlinear response algorithm isboth easy to implement by hardware circuit and clear infrared image can be acquired. It isfit for real-time correction of IRFPA. |
