In most sinter plant in China, the TFe content of iron ore is in low level and more variety, the component of raw material is complex and fluctuant. Most sinter plant use the ratio entered by operator in HMI to control the the sintering proportion. With the development of technic in iron and steel industry, more high quality of sinter will be supplied to Blanst Furnace process; more control way will be used to control raw material cost and storage quantity. So the traditional control technology is not enough to meet this new demand. Because the sintering proportioning affects the quality of the sinter, so how to use the optimization way to control the sintering proportion process is very important for the sinter component precision.This paper analyze the existing problem in the sinter Sintering Propotion control system such as ratio choise is not so good, more difference of certification date and control date etc. An iterative seach method and structure of expert system is supplied to solve these problems. Optimization Expert System For Sintering Propotion adopt the advanced database management technology, collect the raw material component data, sinter product component forecast data, process history data, control data etc to get relationship database. Optimization propotion rate will be searched automatically from the database according association rules. System cans forcast the sinter product component based on the principle of time move and component invariableness.Optimization Expert System for Sintering Propotion has been applied in Anshan mine Co. of Donganshan Steel. The result indicate that this System can be used to control sintering propotion rate by using artificial intelligence method in the most sinter plant especially for complex variety of raw material without sinter yard. The application of this system has improved the quality of production and can get great economy benefit.
