In the field of radio frequency (RF), the transmission of power is the key index to ineasure the system performance. Consequently, the maximum transmission of power is especially important. The maximum transmission of power from signal source to load can be obtained by the technology of impedance matching. Impedance matching is an operating state which can be described as the impedance match between signal source and load, in order to gain the maximum transmission of power.Impedance matching is a branch of RF electronics, mainly be used in transmission line with the purpose of effective transmission to load, on that circumstances there is no reflecting signals. So the energy efficiency could be improved. Obviously when the circuit works in the impedance matching state, the maximum transmission of power will be exactly gained. On the contrary, the maximum transmission of power can't be gained, and perhaps the circuit will be severely damaged. So the identification of mismatching states in the circuit is extraordinarily important. A mismatching identify circuit is introduced in this paper. Then the Protel simulation analysis and experimental results are displayed .At first, the paper describes the whole design scheme of the mismatching identification system based on the principle of impedance matching and clarifies the operating principle of each part. Then, after deeply reading the related data, the design of each subassembly is proposed in detail. It includes current transformer and voltage transformer for sensing RF signals, the phase discriminator for detecting phase contrast, and the amplitude comparator for detecting amplitude ratio. At last, both the Protel simulation analysis and hardware debugging results of the whole system are displayed. Some questions existed in the circuit design and hardware debugging are analyzed. Then the conclusion is summarized.
