Image super-resolution methods are developed to go beyond camera resolution limit by acquiring and fusing a set of low quality, low-resolution images of the same scene, producing high quality, high-resolution images. Recently, this method is an active topic in the image processing, because of its perfect future of application. In this thesis, the research is based on the theory of bilateral filter and the analysis of PSF about optical synthetic aperture imaging system, which aims at researching image registration and regularized image super-resolution algorithm. An effective simulating scheme is brought forward to improve the image spatial resolution and obtain better detailed information of image.The problem of the super-resolution is investigated from the following aspects. We proposed some novel and improved ideas and methods with respect to super-resolution image reconstruction based on the theory of bilateral filter and the concept of optical synthetic aperture imaging system, and thus develop super-resolution technology further.1. Multi-frame super-resolution reconstruction is learned for ordinary model. The algorithm of Miller regularization and normalized recursive steep-descend iteration are introduced to solve ill-posed inverse problems. We also compare the algorithm of optical flow estimation base on the hierarchical iteration with the polynomials iterative methods in the process of estimation about image registration.2. A new algorithm of super-resolution image reconstruction based on bilateral filter is proposed in the thesis. The edge of the image as a priori constraint is combined to the process of the regularized iteration, based on the edge-preserving and noise suppression of bilateral filtering. And then, a super-resolution image can be obtained from a sequence of the low-resolution image. Experiment results indicate lots of merits such as edge-preserving, effective convergence and the good quality of the super-resolution image in the algorithm.3. The PSF (Point Spread Function) and MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) of optical synthetic aperture imaging system are analyzed. The method combines the optical super-resolution and digital image super-resolution into the process of emulation by the digital PSF. In the thesis, the restoration method of digital image and the technology of super-resolution reconstruction are used for improving the image spatial resolution to obtain better quality of image.
