In recent years, the variable polarization technique has become a widely-usedtechnology in radar and electronic jamming. It has already been a researching hotspot inradar, electronic war and other technologies. The variable polarized antenna technology isthe forland of the research. In this thesis, first of all, the parameter of the antenna ispresented. Based on the discussing of the microstrip antenna design theory, we study thedual-polarized microstrip antenna. With the help of the full-wave simulation IE3D, wedesign, simulate and study the dual side-fed dual-polarized square patch antenna. Anantenna unit is designed, and its center frequency is 8.75GHz. The characteristics of theantenna unit are analysed, including input impedance, S parameter, VSWR, port isolation,pattern and band width. In order to boost the plus of the antenna, a 4 units side-feddual-polarized microstrip antenna array is designed and simulated. The plus increasesdramatically. At last, the test theory of the antenna is introduced and the 4 units microstripantenna is tested.
