Frequency converter channel is made up of amplifies, filters, mixers and so on.Designs of frequency converter channel lay different particular attention to obtain thebest performance in communication, radar and TT&C Systems; however they havecommon needs to obtain the best performance of group delay and phase-frequency.Each component of Frequency converter channel has different group delay behavior,so they should be distinctively treated in design with their different contributing tosystem.Combined with a design of C band frequency up-converter base on satellitecommunication, this dissertation first is the introduction to the background, technicalperformance, design and analysis of C band frequency up-converter. Secondly, thisdissertation expatiates on group delay concept and summarizes different methods ofgroup delay measurements. It has a detailed guideline for group delay measurementusing new vector characterization techniques which brings a certainty urge to groupdelay analysis of frequency converter channel. Thirdly, this dissertation makes detailresearches on group delay behavior of amplifies, filters and mixers, they are mainbody of frequency converter channel. It is significantly that this dissertation makesgroup delay performance analysis and elicits group delay value of three variedbalanced mixer. Finally, a curve is given after a group delay measurement of C bandfrequency up-converter.
