The near sensing technology of millimeter wave (MMW) is the technology which detects and identifies target by using the radiation characteristic of millimeter wave, it has important application in many domains. In this paper, we mainly study the radiation characteristic of millimeter wave, then set up and analyze the antenna model.First, this paper introduced radiation characteristic of MMW and the measure principle, and realized that it often took absolute temperature to express radiation power of MMW in MMW radiation characteristic research. Then we took the 3mm Dicke cocurrent radiometer as an example to carry out detecting distance and calibration equation.Second, the radiometer directly measures the antenna temperature which is not the brightness temperature. In order to obtain the real radiation brightness temperature of target, we should calculate the brightness temperature by some inversion algorithms. So this paper set up the antenna model to obtain the antenna temperature equation. The equation is a Fredholm integral equation of the first kind which is extremely unstable. The solution of this equation is the brightness temperature of target. Then we analyzed the integral equation, and realized two kinds of inversion algorithms (regularization method, gradient method) with MATLAB, and also checked the two methods in the experiments. Finally, we learn some factors which influence radiation characteristic measure and the necessary of radiation characteristic database establishment, then established primary design model of radiation characteristic database to guide the practice.
