| With the development of computer science and telecommnications, home appliances are becoming more and more intelligent and easier to be connected, which leads to a new kind of "Intelligent Home Network".There are many kinds of home appliances and various methods to connect them. Within these methods, ZigBee network has many advantages, such as, low power, low cost, high capacity, low rate, simple operate, strong mobility, etc. It is especially good at remote control, regulating, monitoring, security, automatic smoke detection, detection of harmful gases, etc. Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is universal peer to peer network architecture. It can be used for the connection of intelligent device, mobile device and other kinds of personal computer. It support zero-configuration, invisible networking, and auto-detection for various devices developed by different manufacturers. This kind of design makes it easier, more flexible and more standardized for its device to be operated at home, in small business chamber, and other public places.This paper does research in the application of UPnP standard in Intelligent Home Network. We designed and realized solution to combine UPnP stardard and ZigBee network. We first did research in the development of Intelligent Home Network, networking methods and industry stardards. We discussed the advantages and disadvantages of ZigBee network and UPnP stardard in developing Intelligent Home Network. In order to combine ZigBee network and UPnP stardard, we made a solution of making an Embed Network Bridge between ZigBee network and UPnP network. We discussed the design and realization of the Embed Network Bridge in detail, including: Embed Network Bridge hardware and software design, the realization of UPnP protocol framework, control point, the design of multi-virtual-device, connection of ZigBee network, the realization of embed system, etc. Finally, we certify the whole system through a serial of experiments on both Linux OS and Windows OS. |
