| The Expendable Conductivity,Temperature,Depth(XCTD) profile measurement equipment is developed recent years in overseas and obtained fast development. At present the XCTD research is at the start stage in our country. With the National 863 plan supporting, National Ocean Technology Center has undertaken the XCTD profiler project. This project will be able to fill the domestic blank and provide the advanced measurement equipment for national sea investigation as well as the military application. As a postgraduate student, the author takes part in the study of the project and the design of temperature and conductivity sensors of XCTD survey probe.This paper introduces the development and application of domestic and foreign XCTD profiler, as well as its composition and principle of work. According to the characteristic of XCTD, the guideline of designing of temperature and conductivity sensors is drawn as follows: reducing the time-constant, increasing the precision and guaranteeing long-term stability. The XCTD uses an inductive cell conductivity sensor and thermistor. This paper also elaborated the principle of conductivity and temperature measurement; and the automatic-calibration technology to meet the equilibrium of temperature and conductivity signal; and the temperature and the conductivity calibration method. It summarizes the achievement of this research work, and gives some suggestions about the temperature and the conductivity sensors technology in the future. |
