Wireless sensor networks (WSN), which is integrated with wireless communicationstechnologies, sensor, embedded computation, and networks, is a typical communicationnetworks without basic infrastructure. WSN is a new research area, and it leaves muchchallenging work to the researchers. As the bottom foundation of wireless sensornetworks, MAC plays an important part in the sensor networks.E-MAC proposed in this paper is energy-efficient. It combines the advantages ofcompetitive MAC and fixed assignment MAC, and adds some energy-efficientalgorithms to the virtual cluster protocol .In E-MAC, we only need few synchronizednodes to realize the reliable transmission, and it has excellent performance in energysaving.In recent years, most of the MAC protocols are tested by simulation.However,simulation can not reflect the changeable networks, so we implement a integrated MACprotocols: H-MAC in TinyOS.H-MAC combines with nRF905 of hawk nodes, andanalyses the hardware factors and software factors form the application area. It is a kindof multi-channel protocols which is based on CSMA, and it uses component to provideup-layer with reliable service. To different application, we can modify H-MAC easily,so to make full use of channel resource and save networks' energy. From the experimentresults, we can find that H-MAC has excellent expansibility and application worth.
