The Switch Cpu Flow Control Design And Implementation

The paper introduces the conception of CPU Flow Controlling and Switching firstly as well as their current development situations,and then analyzes the general functionality and development situation of both in the subsequent three chapters.For the purpose of designing a completely brand new CPU Flow Controlling of Switch,this paper,especially introduces two types of CPU Flow Controlling of Linux2.6 network system and BH68 switch system respectively, at the same time,analyzes and compares the advantages and disadvantages of CPU Flow Controlling of the two systems in terms of diverse aspects.By analyzing the two systems in CPU Flow Controlling,the whole components of CPU Flow Controlling module and the functionality of each component is revealed to us.Furthermore, this paper gives a particular introduction of the software and hardware architectures of XH7000 switch which is the plantform of the CPU Flow Contorlling this paper covered to,as gives a clear understanding of the software and hardware architecture of ethernet switch.Timer,Flow Controller,Receiver,Sender and Command Line submodule make up the CPU Flow Controlling master module of the XH7000 switch. All details of designing and implementing of the above components of CPU Flow Controlling will be coverd in chapter 5.Timer implements diverse of timing operations which CPU Flow Controlling need. Related to hardware chips of lower level,Flow Controller accomplishes operations associated to the Flow Controlling.Reveiver and Sender implement the key functions of CPU Flow Controlling,that's the management of Three Color Queue, the algorithm of Multilevel Discard Rate Flow Control Based On Load and the algorithm of Feedback WRR.The Command Line submodule provides the possibility of configuring various parameters of CPU Flow Controlling to users.In the last two chapters,we tested the performance of function of CPU Flow Controlling and analyzed the result of test,and gived a general conclusion to this paper.
