Vedio surveillance system is an integrated system which refers to computer technology,communiciation technology and digital vedio technology .With the rapid development of network technology,embedded technology and vedio technology, embedded network vedio surveillance system appeared. embedded network vedio surveillance system is a new digital vedio surveillance system based on embedded system technology, vedio technology and real time network transport technology.It has many advantages compared to the old vedio surveillance system,such as stability,real time performance,functions and price etc.It is also the direction of research and development in vedio surveillance system.Vedio server locates at the core of vedio surveillance system.Blackfin Processors are a new breed of embedded processor designed specifically to meet the computational demands and power constraints of today's embedded audio,vedio and communications applications.The ADSP processors have many advantages in embedded network media applications such as low-price,low-power consumption and simple-design peripheral circuit.ADSP-BF537 which is one of the most famous DSP processors can be used in digital home entertainment, networked and streaming media,automotive telematics and infotainment,digital radio and mobile TV.In this thesis, the embedded vedio surveillance system based on ADSP-BF537 has been developed. The embedded vedio surveillance system surveillance was designed taking ADSP-BF537 EZ-KIT Lite as embedded hardware system. The surveillance system is made up of multimedia compress and networking transfer function in a small device.It can be directly connected with Ethernet network and has no use for some complex cables. The user just need configure IP and port in using the surveillance system, it's very easy. We have already solved the problem of porting bootloader and uClinux into ADSP-BF537 EZ-KIT Lite hardware platform,vedio input driver,MPEG-4 encoding and network transporting.This provides with a higher practice and research value in the field of studying embedded system. Our embedded system has the characters of low cost and high efficiency. At last, a sum-up and prospect of some more usage of this system are given.
