Software Bus In The Bank Self-service Terminal

The concept of software bus has been put forward for several years and a lot of technologies have been developed to implement software bus. Generally software bus is also called object bus or ORB (Object Request Broker). Its objective is to provide a transparent communication channel between components. Software bus is the kernel to connect applications, objects, service and object tool set. It separates components in order to support the distributed software integration and Plug-And-Play on application layer. Software bus can make application maintenance and evolution much easier.This paper has analyzed and described the software bus and software component technology, discussed the implement of software bus for SST(Self-Service-Terminal). and the way how to develop the component on software bus. The paper designed a software bus architecture and used the technology of dynamic linked library, inter-process communication and multiple threads to implement the system.The paper also studied the methods to manage the software components on software bus and the security of software component, and implemented the managing routine of software components. The thread security has been taken into account much when design and implement the software bus and software components.In this paper some tools has been provided to demonstrate how the software works. At the end of the paper, some defects of software bus has been pointed out and the prospect of software bus for SST application was also pointed out.
