Firewall Traversal Communication Technology Research

The Internet technology already seeped into society's each domain, inorder to guard against malicious network attack behavior, more and more computers use individual firewall.This caused VoIP, P2P and network vedio conference can't work very well, so it needs one kind of firewall penetrating technologies.Based on the background, the paper studies the related technology of firewall penetrating communication, and implements application level and driver level firewall penetrating communication techmology. The mainly research work is as follows:(1) Reasearch the firewall and firewall penetrating communication technology. First, it introduces definition and function; then it points out the weakness of the firewall, which provides the consideration of the further study for firewall penetrating communication technology. Also, it gives some firewall penetrating technogies of application and driver level.(2) Reasearch the firewall penetrating technology based on NDIS. Design and implement Transport Driver Interface, Intermediate Driver and NDIS-HOOK firewall penetrating communication modules. Through the test, they work well and can penetrate all popular firewalls.(3) Reasearch the firewall penetrating technology based on HTTP-tunnel. Design and implement the firewall penetrating communication module of HTTP-tunnel. Through the test, it works well and can penetrate all popular firewalls.(4) Reasearch the firewall penetrating technology based on sharing socket. Design and implement the firewall penetrating communication module of sharing DNS socket. Through the test, it works well and can penetrate all popular firewalls.(5) Finally conclusion is made and the future work is predicted.
