The dissertation studies and designs a microwave source, which depends on photoconductive semiconductor switches(PCSS), analyses the principle of the key parts which include PCSS and media resonator especially. We emulates the model of the circuit use CST, fabricate and test it also.In chapter 1, after introducing the actuality of the dissertation(including traditional millimeter-wave source and PCSS's actuality), At the same time, the value and the aim of the dissertation are generalized. In chapter 2, the PCSS are manufactured and two technics are introduced. The practical flow is given. The linear operational mode of PCSS are analyzed. Meanwhile, the character of ultra-short electrical pulse in microtrip is analized. After given the condition of waveform distortion, dispersion and loss of microtrip are analized. In chapter 3, the principle and the syntonic mode of the columned media resonator is introduced first. Second, the model is emulated. Third, Vivaldi antenna is introduced. Then, the emulated model, artifactitious model, S11 plot and microwave signal which is receive by Vivaldi antenna are given. In chapter 4, the summary of the whole dissertation is given, the difference of the testing result and the emulational result is analysed. The next plan to improve the circuit is given too.
