Because of high signal-to-noise rate, wide temperature range and fine linearcharacteristic in imaging, high performance scientific CCD camera is widely usedin astronomic detector, military affairs stakeout, aeronautic use, and so on. In orderto ensure that the system with scientific CCD has precise image, this paper designeda high signal-to-noise rate image acquisition system.This paper firstly analyzed the framework of image data acquisition system forordinary scientific CCD camera, and analyzed the commonly technique of imagedata processing method, then optimized the structure for current system based onthe particularity of high signal-to-noise rate. The new structure has an analog frontend of scientific CCD with high performance circuit, a USB 2.0 interface as the datatransmitting way, and use computer to processing the image data.Next, this paper introduced each part of the scientific CCD image acquisitionsystem, including special CCD analog front end, USB 2.0 interface, and othercorrelative sections. And the focus of this paper is on signal-to-noise rate of thecamera with scientific CCD, else the costly system cannot show its advantages.After testing and analyzing the sample system, it was found that this scientificCCD image data acquisition system has fine stability, high signal-to-noise rate, andhas clear-cut image outputs.
