With the development and popularization of Internet, E-mail has been widelyused and brought great convenience to people. But some people abuse thisconvenience to send junks mails. These spares not only consume a great amount ofnetwork resources, but also spread bad information which do a lot of harm to thesociety. The problem of junk mails has been a worldwide problem. The study ofanti-spam is heating in the world now. Some foreign spam senders make use of Chinaas a switcher to send spams. It makes the problem of spams in China relativelyimportant. Therefore, the study of how to spams has been an important significance.This thesis analyzes the advantages and disadvantage of the traditional anti-spamsystem, and proposes a new anti-spam system based on Linux transparent bridgeaccording to the development of anti-spam system.At first, this thesis briefly introduces the principle of Email and filtrationtechnology. After that, the related technology of Linux firewall and bridge technologyare introduced and analyzed. On these bases, this thesis proposes an anti-spam firewallsystem based on Linux bridge, introduces the architecture of system and main modules,and the key technologies of the system in detail. At last, it introduces system's testenvironments, test methods and test results, and gives a conclusion of work and furtherthe future prospect.The final production of the study is the design and implementation of an E-mailfiltration system which based on Linux bridge. This system can analyze the Emailsquickly which are transferred over network, and filter the junk mails immediately. Thissystem has been proved qualified by Huawei Beijing Research Center.
