Interference is a key issue in the construction of a GSM network, it has great influence over the network performance. This paper covers some related aspects of GSM interference analyzing and testing.In the First chapter, a brief introduction of the importance of interference analyzing during the netwok optimizing is given.In Chapter 2, the interference model of GSM network system is presented with elaborated discussion of different type of interference and the basic interference requirement of GSM network according to the 3GPP specification, mainly about intra-system interference.Chapter 3 is about the main network programming technology, especially that of the GSM-R system. How to make cell design and frequency programmming to reduce the interference is given. Some of the network and optimizing method is also presented.The interference test is introduced in Chapter 4. The discussion centers around interference testing and problem locating.Chapter 5 is about the interference between GSM and other mobile communication system. A method of analyzing is presented. And the interference when GSM and other system co-exist is discussed.The last chapter gives a summarization, closing the whole paper with a brief look into the future.
