Intrusion detection technology is one of the important parts in computer network safety structure, it's a active protection method. Be a supplement of firewall technology, it can detect network systems and resources real time. IDS research and application becomes a important field in network safety.Now the famous IDS manufacturers in the world are ISS, NSI, CISCO etc, in china there are several computer safety companies provide IDS products.This paper shows research works on IDS mainly next:1.
