USB interface communicates with computer directly, but also convenient to use and high efficiency in data transmission. Plug and play is another advantage of the interface. The protocol of the interface is complex and abroad. There are so many kinds of the USB interface IC that the development of the equipment is hard to do.This thesis introduced the Host-Slave controller SL811HS and the application in the embedded system. In the base of introducing the characteristic of this chip, the thesis mainly explained this chip how to identify the flash disk and how to write data to the flash disk according to several protocols. These protocols include FAT File System Specification, USB Specification and UFI Mass Storage Class.The thesis realizes the USB data storage. The most eminence advantages are high speed, large amount of storage and convenient to read and write. The system works in a steady state and it performs high quality in anti-interferer. The USB interface fit the demands of the large amount of data storage of the"Seahorse".
