This paper basses on the background of grinding-classification system of Xinhua mill run factory, Hualian Company, expounds the system from configuration and installation of hardware, programming and debugging of software. It is a distributed control system on the whole.The grinding-classification process is a process with large inertia, long time lag, and it is a typical nonlinear time-varying system. The work point of ball grinding machine shifts easily, some variables are hard to measure accurately, for these determinisms and instabilities, it is hard to control the process of grinding-classification. So the system controls equipments according to the load capacity and ball grinding machine current, grinding consistency and efficiency, overflow size and overflow consistency of grader and so on. At the base of fuzzy control , experience of several same systems and experience of field workers, we use fuzzy control in ball grinding machine and the system intelligently explores the quantity of given mine, it makes sure the stability and accuracy of the system, avoid off-load and over-load of ball grinding machine efficiently, makes the grinding-classification system works fully.The controller of entire system is a Siemens S7 315-2DP PLC, the supervise computer uses the software of Kingview V6.51, consists of a DCS system. The system has a high function-price ratio, high stability, very good extending capacity and advanced. It has a good effect of field running, satisfies the requirements of Hualian Company.
