With the development of the database and network technology, we step into information age during the 21st century. The information technology is also a new solution for the education information. With the progress of university information-management technology, it will cause "Information Islands" that there are so many information systems with different structure in one university at the same time, so to a large extent the effect of information system will be hampered in university management. For resolving the "Information Islands", we need a university information integration solution, which can satisfy the university information-management's requirement and provide credible, secure, high-quality services.The author of this article design shared-database architecture based on the concept of federal database, which is referring to the middleware and XML technology and designed with the requirements of university information, like Fudan University, University of Science and Technology of China, Tongji University and so on. The shared-database architecture offers efficient, secure and various data services for the data integrated, by using priority management module, mete-data management module and so on. Through MVC design module, XML , SQL wildcard-sentence and other technologies, the shared-database architecture is extensibility and compatible, that can adapt variation system environment. First, the author describes the architecture of shared-database and some interrelated technology. And then he introduces some important module particularly. At last the author introduces the Compensating Algorithm and the SQL Wildcard-sentence Anglicizing Algorithm, which is significative for the shared-database architecture and make the shared-database more intelligent and convenient.
