Since W3C published XML specification 1.0( Extensible Makeup Language ) in 1998, XML has fleetly put up the superiority in storage and exchange of data. After developed in only a few years, XML has become the standard of data expression and data exchange on Web. It has turned into the leading data in Internet, and revealed formidable libido. With the information increasing continuously in Internet, how to store and manage the XML data effectively is quite outstay ding issue in the face of various network applications.XML is suitable for data representation, and it is being used widely in the area of DataBase and of exchanging data over the Web. XML documents can have a rather complex internal structure; in fact, an XML documents can be viewed as an ordered tree. It can express many data types. There are some investigation on storage, It is becoming increasingly attention for design and store in XML database. Presently, the research on storing and managing the XML data is mainly focused on these two aspects, using relational database (XED-XML Enable Database) and using the native XML database (NXD-Native XML Database).Storing structure of a XML document influences directly efficiency of an XML query. At present, the database design of native XML document is becoming the focus of the field of Database research, most of which are stored in the manner of plane document database, that is, XML documents are mostly expressed by text, parsed the level structure of text through tool software, and then operated. At the same time, there exists much research concerning direct storage. However, they mostly consider how to code the nodes in the tree structure, insert efficiently and traverse, as a result they pay too much attention on the logical design and omit the research on physical storage and implementation. They supply no solution of the problems in implementation; especially the efficiency will obviously decrease when meeting lots of elements with the same structure. Therefore, This paper proposes a storage structure SDML, And gives SDML's storage scheme and realization in detail. Especially we propose a scheme how to store a element type with many elements.
