Based On. Net Technologies, Mobile Inventory Management System

Mobile inventory management system is an integrated information system, including modern mobile communications technology, computer technology, database technology and data exchange technology. Mobile inventory management system is applicable to the large-scale inventory management. It overcomes the shortcoming, that is, the traditional inventory management system only effectively manages the fixed location. So the inventory managers can quickly, accurately and easily access inventory information in different warehouse by using mobile inventory management system.In this paper, actual conditions of inventory management system and needs of using mobile inventory management system are studied firstly, and then structure, advantages and characters of .Net technology are introduced. In the following part, the paper discusses the advantages of mobile database management system and database access technology, explains technological base of development software. Through comparing the advantages and disadvantages of C/S and B/S structure, theoretical basis of choosing C/S structure and design of system function are studied. Background database uses SQL Server 2000. Mobile terminal uses SQL Server CE 2.0 as database management system, considering the needs of database separation line operation and data synchronization. Finally, some VPN security technology principles are discussed. According to industry characteristics, the paper resolves the security problems of enterprise data exchange by using combine L2TP with IPSec security protection projects. The development of the whole system using Visual Studio.Net object-oriented program as designing platform, realizes exchanging data between mobile terminals and server by using RDA mechanism. To our pleasing, expected results is achieved through the use of practical tests in ASUS 620BT platform.
