Based on Periodically Poled LiNbO3 Doped with MgO (PPMgLN) nonlinear crystal material, in this paper a theoretical and experimental study on the temperature-tuned signal-resonanted quasi-phase-matched optical parametric generator using quasi-phase matching (QPM) nonlinear optical frequency conversion technique. is presentedThe main content of this dissertation are as follows:1. We introduces the quasi-phase matching technique concept and its advantages, describes the history and domestic and overseas development in this field. The physical and optical characters of the PPMgLN crytal are emphasized.2. The coupled-wave equation in the periodically poled crystal is studied theoretically and resolved using the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method under the ideal and simplified condition. And then the processions of the optical parametric generation and oscillation are numerically simulated. From the research above we could obtain the relationship between the signal output power and the parameters of the incident light such as the optical power density, the spot radius, pulse width etc. It can be used to optimize the signal output. At last we analyses the temperature-tuned performance.3. Temperature-tuned signal-resonanted quasi-phase-matched optical parametric generator is accomplished and studied in the experiment. The corresponding signal output range is from 1561nm to 1672nm with temperature range 30℃ 180℃. And the signal output power and the spectral character is analyzed.4. Temperature-tuned signal-resonanted quasi-phase-matched optical parametric oscillator will be researched preliminarily.The significance of this dissertation: Quasi-phase matching (QPM) nonlinear optical frequency conversion has the advantage of especially high conversion efficiency and has been applied in many fields.
