Almost all real control systems may suffer uncertainties in different forms, such as unmodeled dynamics, structured parametric uncertainties, change of the operating environment, model reduction and linearization approximations and external disturbances uncertainties, etc. Usually, these uncertainties are measurable and can be restricted in some range. Robust control theory is an effective way to deal with the control problems with the uncertain systems. On the other hand, there often exist time-delay phenomena in most practical industrial processes control systems, especially in the case of large size of industrial device. For example , Petroleum chemical engineering systems and metallurgy systems can be modeled as time-delay systems for their content lag and transmission delay. In addition to these, because of transmission process,large-lag links and complicated on-line analyzer etc, a large number of industrial processes(in metal engineering, chemical engineering systems, biomedical systems and so on) can be modeled as time-delay systems. Systems stability and performance are always influenced badly by lag, so the study of delay systems always attracts considerable attention in the control theory. In this thesis, kinds of robust H∞control problems for time-delay systems which have uncertainties in both state and control input with...
