Abstract/Summary:
Software engineering education is one of the 5 main research directions in study of Education Technology. As IT is widely applied in educational teaching, more and more importance is attached to the design and development of educational software. More and more researchers, starting with the development of engineering products and software, begin to research on their principles of design and application, which will be promoting the further application of IT in educational teaching and the study of software engineering education.Study of man-machine interface is one of the most important parts in the Study of software engineering education. There is both commonness and distinction between man-machine interface design of educational software and other software. The characteristics of interaction, openness and systematism in the course of teaching and learning plays an important role in deciding that the man-machine interface design of educational software not only must follow the general principles of software design but develop its own unique theory and practicing mode. Teachers are still the basic user of educational software and products currently. How they understand the educational software is key to its application mode, and also will have effect on the course and mode of teaching and learning. From the view of case study, focusing on the educational software of "virtual community of study in CNU, support platform for development of teacher specialty, resultant system of personal courseware and game community of learning", this article explores the design principle of man-machine and tries to find the specific law of man-machine design, which provide the design of man-machine with the demonstration study base. According to the teaching experiments designed and implemented by the author, this article concludes as follows: (1)as the applications of educational software are still confined to satisfy the basic requirement and development, and teachers are still paying more attention to the practicable function of software than the interface design, the designers or developers of software should change people's development of cognition and mobilize the learner to study using the multiple senses by taking advantages of man-machine design;(2)due to the technology and concept, man-machine interface design of educational software has little effect on teachers at a certain stage. So we should differentiate the functions between man and machine and deal with their relationships correctly to conduct appropriate learning;(3)the man-machine interface designs of educational software provide a platform to demonstrate the software knowledge, therefore, based on the theory of LOGO, designers should arrange the component from different point of view, distinguishing them from the traditional display mode;(4)the man-machine interface design of educational software should develop in the way of "from teachers and to teachers", only in this way can teachers understand the design, can the design serve the teaching. Some other laws of man-machine interface designs of educational software concluded in this article as follows: (1)man-machine interface design of educational software is based on the teachers and students as well as their physical and psychological characters, which should be taken into account when designers organize the components of man-machine interface design;(2)as man-machine interface design of educational software must follow the strategies of teaching and learning, the layout of interface components should embody the strategies; (3) man-machine interface design of educational software is of variety, whose construction must not only accord with taste of teachers and students but also involve enough design element in the knowledge display.
