Ultra-wideband(UWB) is new type of wireless communication technology, a great progress of wireless communication field. It is a new important development direction of military affairs communication and civil short distance high speed wireless communication. It has wider application foreground in civil and military affairs communication field.UWB signal is generated by modulating ultra-short waveforms, so it has an ultra wide band. UWB technology solved some momentous problem in propagation which puzzled traditional wireless technology. It has many benefits due to its ultra-wideband nature which including the following: not sensitive to channel fading, low transmit power, extremely difficult to intercept, low complexity of transceiver structure, fine range resolution(centimeter scale) for location and so on This paper combines UWB technology and Mobile Ad hoc Network technology, concerting the LASN Project of National Key Laboratory of Communication, researchs the baseband process cell of UWB communication transceivers on the base of arithmetic research and spot test. Chapter one and chapter two introduced the background of this dissertation and theory foundation, including definition, characteristic and development application of UWB.Chapter three introduces FPGA device used by this design, briefly introduces base knowledge of hardware development and general structure of FPGA. The device is XC2V1000-4FG456C of Xilinx.After introduction of the whole FPGA design of UWB link, chapter four schemed out every function module such as frame structure, spread spectrum and modulation etc. Lots of structure schemes and simulation waves were presented.Chapter five expatiated the design scheme of UWB receiver, including mainly pulse synchronization, frame synchronization, demodulation and deframe. Lots of structure schemes and simulation waves were presented. At last, analysed the resource.Finally, in chapter six, we summarized and concluded the whole dissertation. Further research issues and possible research directions were pointed out.
