WCDMA is the dominant standard of the 3rd generation communication system and the High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) will be the most important enhancing technology when the WCDMA radio network is evolved into its final phase. The key point of the WCDMA High Speed Downlink Packet Access is the fast packet schedule that will give a vital impact on the whole radio network performance. The existing fast packet schedule algorithms are almost the proportional fairness fast packet schedule algorithms, but these algorithms either are not able to guarantee the quality of the service or can't be implemented easily in the real product. Concerning these issues, the paper will be dedicated to the creative research of the proportional fairness fast packet schedule algorithm within the WCDMA High Speed Downlink Packet Access.
