Dual-carrier Multiplexing Technology Frequency Parameter Estimation

PCMA(Paired Carrier Multiple Access)is a new way of multiple access in satellite communication. It was first introduced by Dankberg of ViaSat in 1998, and has gotten a patent in U.S. already. It can double the capacitance of the channel, can be used with other methods of multiple access and have a strong security. So it would be popular in future satellite communication.The researches on this subject are very few; the only article about the realization of PCMA is the patent document. In the patent document, a training sequence is designed to estimate the parameters in PCMA. But in this article will do some researcher in the parameters estimate without training. Because of the lack of references, the estimate works are very hard.The main researches are as follow:1. The ground, the former conditions, the key technology and the mode of PCMA are researched and analyzed first, then produce a way of frequency estimate via correlation, by compared with other frequency estimate methods.2. Do some researches on the frequency estimate. We got the curve of correlation and frequency deviation first, then design an algorithm by analyzing this curve, and simulate.3. Do some researches on the frequency scouting. We designed a frequency scouting loop by the technology of phase locked loop, and then simulate.4. Do some researches on influence of phase shift in frequency estimate. Then a algorithm of phase shift estimate is designed, and simulate.5. Do some researches of swing change estimate, an iterated algorithm was designed, and then simulate.
