Cellular location was the technologies which use the location information of cellular network to locate. Recently, mobile location technology gradually showed tempting market outlooks. As the development of location business, more and more enterprises and research organizations devoted to research the location related technology.Becase of the complexity and flexibility of mobile channel, the locating precision of mobile location technology was not satisfying at present, urging people to keep exploring more precise locating arithmetic. In 3G communication system, the most promising location method was the locating arithmetic based on the Time Of Arrival and the Time Difference Of Arrival (TOA/TDOA) of signal, or the Angle Of Arrival of signal (AOA).However, either the arithmetic based on TOA or that based on AOA was badly affected by the None Line Of Sight (NLOS) phenomenon. In all of facts that affected the location precise, NLOS effect was recognized as the primary one.By analyzing the characteristic and mechanism of NLOS effect, a kind of simulation platform for mobile locating was modeled using MATLAB tools which could simulate NLOS effect dynamically with the movement of mobile station.Based on the simulation platform, five kinds of arithmetic which were suitable for different situations was analyzed in this dissertation:(1) When locating at one time, centoid location method with TOA measurements.(2) When locating at one time, Hybrid TOA/AOA centoid location method.(3) When locating continuously, Speed location method in NLOS environments(4) When locating continuously, Single cell location method based on speed location in NLOS environments.(5) When tracking, Kalman tracking for mobile location in NLOS situations based on displacement difference.Each method was simulated, studied and compared in this dissertation.it was proved that these proposed arithmetic could mitigate NLOS propagation errors effectively.
