With the popularization of network and communication, Internet has found application in more and more fields, such as electronic commerce, IP telephone, and IP fax etc. The development of VoIP technology provides efficient means for transmission of voice service via different kinds of data network. By use of VoIP, digitalized speech signal is encapsulated in IP packet, then the packet is transmited over the IP network. Problems involved in VoIP mainly come down to three domain: the supported network protocol, the audio codec, and RTOS played a role of fusion.Since the reference open source codes are written in float ANSI C language, while the target processor just has the effort to cope with fixed point operation, a formal modeling method must be applied to developed a set of fixed point ANSI C code, and transfer the DSP application developing procedure into a traditional way.The fixed point toolbox within Matlab is adopted to play this role.Low cost and low power make fixed point DSP processor easier be accepted by the market, and also make the new fixed point code set have better portability and wonderful application future. However, such fixed point C code still could not run directly, in order to meet realtime requirement, the code set is optimized by use of embedding assembly instruction. So the final output would be a set of assembly embedded ANSI C language codes. The algorithm is fully tested on MCF5249 demoboard, test results are presented. System performance and parameters got from tests proved that the implementation had achieved original aim.
