Currently, there are not domestic related organization be engaged in the development of potato's bioinformatics research platform. Although the abroad has related research, but all still be placed in secret appearance, therefore there is need to build up ourself's potato's bioinformatics research platform(The platform includes two parts: the secondary database of the potato and the data processing software).While setting up the secondary database of the potato, The required Web data are restored in XML format, which can be parsed and submited into the secondary database, this method is a higher automation degree to set up a database.While developing the data processing software, localization (the Clustal W, Phylip, BLAST) and mixture (MATLAB 7.0 with c#) were introduced to speed up the development;Through learning, a new secondary structure prediction method which is making use of a nerve network with genetic aritnmetic was put forward.On the platform, the customer can carry on a basic operation to the database and do some basic analysis to the sequence (sequence composition analysis, seeking sequence ORF, statistics of codon, drawing sequence density diagram, dotplot, database searching for similar sequence,multiple sequence alignment, building up phylogenetic tree, prediction of protein's secondary structure), various analytical results can help us to guide a direction, guide biology experiment.Thesis discussed background first, elaborate the development process of the platform immediately after, finally use some example to display the use of platform.
