Design And Construction Of Oil And Gas Reservoirs In The Resource Database

With the developing of economics , the resource of oil and gas is in need more and more . But the produce of oil field is fixed or even less than before . This is why oil industries spend more and more money on research and develop more relations with other related fields . They have bought a lot of advanced technologies from abroad on the one hand ,on the other hand they strengthen the cooperation with many other research institutes. Just in this background ,oil and gas log database system (LOGDBS) has been produced by CAD(computer aided design) laboratory, institute of computing technology of Chinese sciences academy ,oil department and many great oil fields. It is used mainly on oil reservoir research and get good reflections from users because of its good functions .In the research and development of the LOGDBS ,my work was mainly on database developing. I have learned a lot in the research .This paper is the conclusion of my two year work.This paper can be divided into four parts. The first is about storing curve data of log in ORACLE database system . In programming and constructing LOGDBS database, the first problem is to store log curve data with high performance .The log curve data are the main and most important data in logging procedure. Their quantity is very huge ,and their frequency of storing and retrieving is very great too. So to store log curve data with high performance is the key of constructing a reservoir database. After that is the second part ,which ishow to add multi-user function into LOGDBS. Themulti-user function is very useful . It expands functions of LOGDBS very much. But to create this function , it can not be realized simply in C language programming . The better way is to use UNIX SHELL language programming.
