The research of the Strap-down Inertial Navigation System (SINS) and the Global Positioning System (GPS) based on the microprocessors is a hotspot because of the high speed development of the microprocessors' technology. In this paper, a navigation computer based on DSP technology is researched and characteristic of Inertial Navigation Systems is analyzed, which takes TMS320C6713 as core chip. The efficiency and speed of the system is enhanced by the scheme in which FPGA realizes interface unit so that DSP can be devoted in navigation algorithm.Firstly, the principle of INS and GPS is brought forward, then the principle of integrated INS/GPS is explained. Secondly, the hardware scheme is designed with high precision Analog-to-Digital Converter and FPGA which realizes interface unit and UART. Thirdly, data-collection and data-communication are simulated by software. At last, after the design of hardware circuits and software and debugging the software systems, correlative test is made and the results is analyzed.
