The technology of millimeter wave has special merits, so it has been widely researched. The millimeter communication system is usually used in military communication because of its characteristics, such as smaller cubage, lighter weitht,better flexibility and stronger ability of resisting battlefield smog.This paper discusses the application of millimeter wave in communicatin area with digital communication technique.We study and design three parts:source coding,channel coding and image encryption based on analyzing propagation characteristics of millimeter wave We design the image encoder with the combination of DSP and CPLD,analyse and simulate I~2C bus,and initialize the SAA7111, then analyse and simulate the algorithm adopted by JPEG standards.Aiming at the channel coding,this paper adopts the method of connecting convolutional coding with interleaver and does some particular theoretical analysis and simulation of convolutional coding,interleaver and Viterbi decoding.Considering the characteristic of huge image data,traditional encryption algorithm can't satisfy system's demand, so we bring forward a image encryption algorithm based on chaotic sequences.Firstly, the characteristics of different chaotic sequences are analyzed.and these sequences' sensitivity to initial value is also validated through simulation. Secondly, we design the encryption and decryption algorithm, which is simulated for the image.
