Under the background of the Third Generation (3G) Mobile Communication Technology and to meet the urgent need of high data rate and the quality of services, this thesis mainly focuses on the issues of fundamental principle and design process of linearization of power amplifier.The analysis of the simulation result and measurements with the proposed method in this paper show that at the performance frequency ranges from 1.92 GHz to 1.98 GHz, the display performance this amplifier as follow: P1 dB (Output Power @ 1 dB Compression Point) ≥ 22 dBm; VSWR ≤2; Improved IP3 (3rd order intercept point) ≥ 22 dB.This article pays more attention on the analog predistortion technique for linearization of power amplifier. In this design process, the whole linearization of power amplifier system mainly employs analog predistortion, power divider, voltage variable attenuator and voltage variable phase shifter. In addition, This article particularly illustrates the blueprint of the design, operating procedure, simulation and the analysis of the simulation result.In the end, This article analyzes, simulates and fulfills the overall linearization of power amplifier circuit by advanced microwave computer aided design software-ADS2005A. There is no denying that using the ADS CAD software, not only decrease the design cycle but also increase the design efficiency. |
