Design, Based On Windows Ce Embedded Multi-mode Terminal System

With deployment of the third generation network and development of Wi-Fi, WiMax and other broadband technologies, The cellular mobile networks and broadband wireless access networks will coexist for a long time. This paper researched a kind of multi-mode terminal,it just came into being in such background. This kind of terminals can be used in GPRS,3G and WLAN networks, accomplish network handover according to different network states or practical demands, providing optimal wireless data transmission applications.Firstly this paper introduces the embedded OS-Windows CE and gives a deep research of its characteristics. Then it discusses the construction of multi-mode terminal's software system, hardware develop environment and methods of how to design the multi-mode terminal.This paper accomplishs the following work: to propose the Windows CE-based software architecture according to function requirements,to maintain the multi-mode terminal hardware system and Windows CE operating system hanged together more closely.it ought to be more flexible for multi-mode terminal's customization in the future after studying various methods of how to build the hardware environment of Windows CE-based multi-mode terminal and hardware system. This project includes both the hardware and the software parts.At last ,it fulfills the seiral port communciation program in Windows CE after put forward the method of how to design the wireless netcard driver.
