In the field of traditional power line carrier (PLC) communications, the modulation-demodulation cells of PLC were implemented in means of analog method. The traditional PLC systems can't catch up with the market demands for higher communication quality. Then an all digital modulation-demodulation scheme based on TMS320C6713 is proposed, which aims at the high speed PLC communications.The development and applications of PLC communication is introduced in this paper. And the algorithm research and hardware-software implementation of the all digital single sideband (SSB) modulation- demodulation project are detailed.This paper especially addresses the following solutions to technological difficulties of reseach and development of the whole system: 1. The problem of DSP's performance.include MIPS and memory space of DSP. 2. The implementation of the feature AGC. 3. The solution to phase synchronization . introduce a quadratic AGC control method to solve the problem 2 and 3. 4. The solution to channel's equalization.MCU config DSP via SPI port . 5. The implementation of bootloader in DSP .emphasizes on bootloader via parallel port . 6. The design and analysis of digital filter. Emphasize the Hilbert filter design.The results of the debugging show that the module meets the desirable requirements and improves the system's rate of performance and price. So the system has acquired well economic and social benefits.
